As we close another wonderful spring season, I want to take a moment to reflect on everything we have accomplished together at Dreamers Walk Canada.
First and foremost, thank you to every volunteer, board member, staff member, community partner, sponsor, and supporter who has dedicated their time and energy to our mission. Your commitment to creating a more inclusive and accessible community continues to inspire me every day.
Celebrating Our Graduates
This month, I would like to recognize three outstanding members of our senior leadership team who have reached an important milestone by graduating from high school.
Congratulations to:
Justin Camarero
Hana Sobhy
Louka Tetreault
Your dedication both in school and within Dreamers Walk Canada has been truly inspiring. We are incredibly proud of each of you and look forward to watching you continue to grow as leaders and advocates in our community.
A Historic First for the Dreamer Dragons
One of the highlights of this spring was the debut of our Dreamer Dragons team at the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival.
Our team proudly earned 3rd place in our race on June 20, an incredible achievement for our first year competing. More importantly, the event showcased the power of teamwork, inclusion, determination, and community spirit.
Thank you to every paddler, volunteer, supporter, and coach who helped make this dream a reality.
Planning is already underway for our 2027 Dreamer Dragons season. More information will be released this fall, along with exciting fundraising events and community activities that will directly support the team.
The leadership team for the 2027 season will be announced following DreamFest 2026.
Join Our Leadership Team
As our organization continues to grow, we are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to serve as our next Sponsorship & Partnership Director.
This important leadership role focuses on building relationships with businesses, community organizations, and sponsors that help support Dreamers Walk Canada and our programs.
If you enjoy networking, fundraising, community engagement, or business development, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference while gaining valuable leadership experience.

Looking Ahead
The months ahead promise to be some of the busiest and most exciting in our organization's history.
With Dream Walk & DreamFest 2026 approaching, our teams are working hard behind the scenes to create an unforgettable weekend filled with community, accessibility, entertainment, and celebration.
Beginning in July, I will also begin sharing regular monthly blog updates to keep everyone informed about our events, volunteer opportunities, organizational news, fundraising efforts, and exciting new initiatives.
There is so much to look forward to, and I cannot wait to share this journey with all of you.
Thank You
Every milestone we achieve is possible because of people like you. Whether you volunteer your time, sponsor an event, participate in our programs, or simply help spread our message, you are making a lasting difference in the lives of individuals and families living with disabilities.
Thank you for believing in our mission and for being part of the Dreamers Walk Canada family.
Together, we are creating a more accessible, inclusive, and compassionate future.
